TXBBA STORY
A HISTORY OF SUCCESS
In July of 2004, Master Nick Pahanish opened the 1st Tx Black Belt Academy in Crowley, Texas. With no funds left after construction, we opened our 1st month with 50 new students. That academy quickly grew its student base and was transformed into a model school.
Four years later, in 2008 Master Pahanish opened a 2nd location in Fort Worth, Texas. After two years of losses, he realized that teamwork makes the dream work! Master Donnie Bedore bought into the TX Black Belt Academy Fort Worth location. Over the next 11 years 7 more academies were successfully added to the TXBBA brand and a martial arts academy powerhouse was born.
In 2021, Orlando and Sarina Waugh joined the TXBBA team, adding an academy in North Arlington. Within months, this newly formed dream team combined their business knowledge to establish the TXBBA Franchise Group, providing martial artists and investors alike with the opportunity to empower individuals through the transformative power of martial arts.
